With a firm pull, you open the door, revealing a man dressed in blue and grey. He’s slowly shaking his head while staring at you. You examine him for a second and he points to a package next to him. It’s both taller and wider than you. The man then turns around and walks away. You try to call out to him, but he keeps on walking without ever looking back.
This must be a mistake. Is this something you ordered? No, it can’t be. But your eyes aren’t deceiving you, both your name and address are written on it. Maybe it’s some sort of joke? A friend of yours pulling a prank? It takes a few attempts to properly grab the huge box, but you eventually manage to drag it to your living room.
The package isn’t too heavy, just cumbersome. You observe the cardboard obelisk for a second and then carefully open it from the side. A sea of small chunks rushes out of the package. Your hand reaches the insides of the obelisk and swims through. You go deeper and deeper until... BONK!
Your hand found something. Your other hand joins the first one and you pull a tiny box out of the package. The floor is now littered with small brown chunks of paper while the cardboard obelisk still stands strong. You open the box and can’t believe it. It is, in fact, exactly what you had ordered. Something must have gone wrong in the logistics department, but at least you’ve got your two new shiny AA batteries.
